Hi all!
I have a LG 31MU97 monitor, which has a 10bit panel (and LG's assistance confirmed that 10bit regularly pass through its HDMI inputs), and a mini monitor 4K. They're connected by a Lindy HDMI cable (and Lindy's assistance confirmed that the cable regularly supports 10bit).
I'm on a Windows machine, trying to output 10bit 4K 25p signal from a Resolve timeline. I just can't, it's 8bit, I checked with a gray ramp made in photoshop, there's banding everywhere.
I tried changing resolution but it doesn't matter if I'm in HD or 4K, I tried to enable and disable all the settings in desktop video setup and video monitoring in Resolve, and yes, I selected "use 4:4:4 SDI", it improved my overall output signal, which is great, but it didn't unlock 10bit (I had read that this option has unlocked 10bit with the mini monitor 4K to someone, but it didn't do the trick for me).
What can be the problem? Or what setting sequence have I to select in order to unlock 10bit?
