Correct skin exposure in HDR

PostSat Mar 13, 2021 3:29 pm

Is there any aim to correct or standard exposure for human skin in HDR? Obviously it depends, but in SDR I used to aim at 60 IRE or so.....

It's going to depend on what flavor of HDR and where that flavor puts white. A straight 709 to 2100 transform that places white at 203 IRE≈cd/m², will place 60% grey in the neighborhood of 80IRE.

Good Luck
