You can find t in the same location as the DR app.
Keep in mind that the Control Panels app only finds the Speed Editor when your Speed Editor is hardwired to your computer.

How to find the App "DaVinci Control Panels Setup"? 3 Ways to Rome:

- In DaVinci Resolve, when opened a project, click on "Help" and chose the 3rd option: DaVinci Control Panel Setup
- In Finder, open your Programs Folder, go to the DaVinci Resolve Folder, there it is. (/Applications/DaVinci Resolve/)
- Via Spotrlight or Quicksilver, enter the appropriate search - like "Davinci" or Panel etc...

Plug your speed editor via USB (USB-C to USB-C or USB 3 to USB-C) and the panel shows up in the panels setup. It won't be displayed, if connected via bluetooth.

Click on the panel to see the firmware currently installed (as of today, should be 1.4 b d0821c87) - The buldnumber is displayed, when clicking on the software version field.

You can see also the battery status of the Editor.

You can give another name or reset it ... an if an update is pending, you can install it.

Hope that helps

I am still dealing with this issue.
  • Bluetooth is turned off
  • Connected via USB-C
  • Red lights are on Speed Editor
  • I am unable to update Control Panel for some reason as well

I have included some screenshots. Please advise. Thanks!

Mike, which resolve version are you on?
Which OS?
Which version of the DaVinci Control Panels App is installed?
Can you try posting the screen shots or a link to them?

Here you go! You'll see in the error messages that I am unable to update the Control Panel.

I had the same issue. I tried another USB cable and it finally worked with the right one.
I think the cable wasn't optimized for Data transfer.

Hopefully it'll help

It sounds as if your first cable was only a usb battery charging cable. All USB3 cables are similar. There is no data optimized cables. Some are faster than others, but all work reliably with data.
