DaVinci Resolve constant crashing

PostMon Mar 15, 2021 4:32 am

Hi there,

I just installed DaVinci resolve 17 (for Mac OSX) and began working on a fusion project..
The problem is that the application is crashing - it's done it a bit earlier in the project (across range of actions) but now it does it every single time I try to add keyframes to animate the sequence... so I can't move forwards.

The error message I get is:
"DaVinci Resolve can\U2019t be opened.
\U201CDaVinci Resolve\U201D is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete \U201CDaVinci Resolve\U201D and download it again from the App Store."

I have indeed deleted it and re-downloaded the whole application (in case it was a bad install) but no.. still happens. It's unusable.

Does anyone know what it could be?

Many thanks

This happened to me when the App Store version updated to version 17.1, luckily I still have a backup of the version 17 (also from the App Store)

Just as a test, can you please delete the app from the Applications folder. Restart your mac and then install again from the AppStore. Let us know if it helps.
