DaVinci Crashing at title preview, fonts not showing up

Hi everyone

I'm experiencing two big problems in DaVinci Resolve Studio 17.1 (Mac App Store version) on macOS Big Sur 11.2.3 an a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018 – 2.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 - 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4 - Radeon Pro 555X 4 GB):

1) When I try to preview a title (hover on title), DaVinci crashes immediately.
2) The company font we're using is not showing up correctly. I can only choose the «Light» but not «Regular» font style.
Edit:
3) When I click on the settings tab of the «Text+» effect, DRS crashes immediately, too. See Crash Log File 2.

Does anyone have a hint for me on what to do?

I had the same issue as you describe after the 17.1 update, also on a Mac. I discovered there is a code signing error in the dump logs for the OS.

I uninstalled the App Store version and downloaded & installed manually from BMD, which resolved the issue entirely for me.

Hopefully they will correct the build for the App Store soon!

I was having the same code signing problem -- even tried forcing a new codesign and that did not work. Downloading the version directly fixed the issue. As an added bonus, it scanned my VST directory without crashing. The App Store version crashed when doing the scan.
