I added a clip as an offline & linked it to the timeline but it doesn't work. I use resolve 16.

I tried to use Mov prores ref clip instead of Mp4 but it didn't solve

How to solve it then, please?

Does the reference clip start at 00:00:00:00 as well?

The timecode of the reference clip needs to match the timeline.

in v16 you can just add it as a normal clip and then drag it to the Offline source window, needs to have matching timecode as the others have said
MBP2021 M1 Max 64GB, macOS 15.1, Resolve Studio 19.1 build 12
Output: UltraStudio 4K Mini, Desktop Video 12.7

I'm using 17 (App Store Version) on mac and am having a similar issue. I've exported a burn-in MP4 reference clip. It's 23.98 for what it's worth. When I bring it into Resolve, it sees it starting at 0 and not 58:40:00. The burn-in shows correct TC though and when I bring the same clip into Adobe, it sees it as correct.

Changing the Clip Attributes to the correct TC solved the issue but it is wrong to not see the TC correctly.
