hi there,

pretty sure this is a newbie question but i cannot find any infos about that specific thing: I would like to copy a project to a different computer to keep working while travelling, and i dont want to take the original hard drives etc with me, so my question is: is there a way to "export" a davinci project with just the video and audio files used within the project?

Lets assume i shot 10tb of footage sitting on a hard drive but the footage imported into resolve that i work with are just 1tb , and that is what i like to take on the road. Otherwise it would be hard to figure out which footage to take and copy etc etc.. i know for example in lightworks there is a function of backup and restore and in that process you can decide if footage , proxies, etc will be copied to the backup or just a project file generated... is there something similar in resolve?

thank you!!

That will entail a combination of media consolidation with the Media Manager (accessible via the File drop-down menu) and the "archive project" function, available in the Project Manager. Both are covered in the manual.
