The DR reference manual that is available from the Help menu of version 17.1 on page 204 quotes the following:-

Seeing Which Clips Have Been Optimized
If you want to check to see which clips have been optimized, an Optimized Media column in the
list view of the Media Pool will be populated with the resolution of whatever optimized media
you’ve created (Original, Half, Quarter, and so on). Clips that have not been optimized appear
with “None.”

However, I can't seem to find the column.

Can anyone shed some light to what is going on here. Thanks

That's left over in the main manual from 16.
Check the New Features one instead. Optimized media are not longer shown, but you can use proxies.

Hi Thanks for your reply.

Clearly BM are lacking when it comes to keeping the reference document up todate. It wouldn't be so bad but the document is referenced from within DR17.1

I would love for the manual and the software to be released at the same time, but I can see where this might be...difficult.

The feature set did change during the Beta cycle, so I can see where parts of the manual won't even be started until the software goes RTM.
