Bug with Overwrite and persisting IO points. Fixed in 17.1.1

Blank timeline.
Set I and O points on the timeline
Set a single I point on the source.
OVERWRITE.
I and O points remain on the timeline

Same with source I and O set and only I or O on the timeline

Do an INSERT and they disappear as I thought they should with OVERWRITE.

Have I toggled a weird setting somewhere or did it always do this?

All prefs in PREFERENCES>EDITING>USER are toggled off.

Nothing like a rainy afternoon to start to doubt one's sanity.

Screen shot shows result after OVERWRITE command.

Instead of Overwrite, try Replace.

Jim,

REPLACE behaves as expected but this is just a workaround.

My Shuttle Pro and keyboard shortcuts are set to use OVERWRITE as the default on my two edit machines.

This was not the behavior on versions 16 back to 11 where I began my Resolve journey.

I have verified with another user that 17.1 has this bug and 16 does not so I need to be sure that BMD is aware of this errant behavior.

If you would be so kind as to verify this behavior on your machine I would be grateful.

I'm seeing this too.

Agreed. I tend to answer from the viewpoint of "How can I get this done so I can get paid?"

I no longer have 16 for testing. Sorry.

REPLACE is not even a workaround as it does not add audio even when A1 is selected.
This is an annoying bug.

It replaced audio for me.
