Problems moving file into Media pool

I'm on a W10 system and can't move an MP4 file into the Media Pool. I've tried to drag and drop it from the folder, as well as, opening it from the menu bar using File>Import>Media... Neither works. I'm new to DaVinci Resolve 7, so is there anything special I need to do to move files into the pool?

1. Switch to Media page.
2. In the Media Storage panel (top left), navigate to the folder containing the clip.
3. In the Media Pool (lower section) open the proper Bin.
4. Right click on the clip, Add into Media Pool.
If the clip doesn't show up in Step 2, it's not supported in Resolve.

Thanks for the reply. I was trying to import directly from the SD on my GoPro. Once I moved the file from the GoPro to my hard drive, I was able to import the media.

Jim, went to the Media page, but when I navigate to the folder where I have 3 .MP4 clips, nothing shows in the frame to move to the bin.

What is the source of your clips?

These MP4 videos are from a GoPro. I uploaded them to the system on which I am running resolve. I went on a trip and took 2 videos on the same day. The first was about 6 clips that I transferred, edited and rendered with no problem. This is the second video that has 3 clips, and this is the one I'm having trouble moving to the media folder. When I click and drag, nothing happens. No errors or clock to show activity. So, bottom line is same hardware, same format as the one that did work.
