How to add a .dra in my project?

PostMon Mar 22, 2021 4:19 pm

Hey!
So I have a transitions.dra folder with a few cool transitions.
The problem is I don't know how to add the transitions to already existing davinci project so I can use them there.
Thanks for your replies!

That's an archive. You can't add that to a project, per se, as it's a project in it's own right (plus media).

From the Project Manager, you'd right click on an empty spot and choose Restore Project Archive.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

So if the transitions are .dra and I need them in my other davinci project there is no way I can use them?

Try Power Bins.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

Thanks! Power Bins are very useful. But unfortunately in power bin the fusion composition is not synchronizes with pre-renders that are used in the fusion composition

Hi!
I just switched from Vegas Pro to Davinci Resolve (free) and I´m stuck with this. Still learning this awesome software and also have some free transitions in .dra "files"?
Can someone just explain how to import or use them?

If you import the archive like Jim said, it creates a new copy of the project, exactly as it was when the archive was bundled. From there, you can use power bins to make elements available across projects, as suggested above, but you can also do simple copy, switch project, paste to quickly bring one element from one project to another. This method is easy to understand, but gets tedious when you have many elements to transfer, which is why the others have recommended power bins. All you do is save stuff to them, and it’s made available across projects. Power bins are hidden by default, and you may need to enable them in the menu bar.

Hi!
I got the Title in the project, but when I drag the title to power bin a window pops up with the text: Power Bin Not Updated.
"unselect before adding to Power Bins.?
