Transcoding problem

PostWed Mar 24, 2021 12:56 pm

So basically I'm working with Raw footage (shot with Blackmagic Ursa) and I choose to transcode the footage to edit smoothly.

I have the transcoded footage, but when I try to link it to the original clips, the software doesn't recognize the proxies.

Being raw footage, the original clips are recognized as .dng, while the proxies are .mov files, did I do something wrong?

I have considered optimized media, but it's a large project and it would tale way too much space on my pc

Thanks in advance!

If you use the native Proxy process new in version 17, the files are automatically linked.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

You can tell DR to ignore file extensions when relinking.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
