I was just on a family trip and recorded most of my content in 4K 30 FPS. However, there were some shots I hoped to have in slow motion so I recorded those in 4K 60 FPS.
However, once I import these videos into Davinci Resolve (I use 15 since I find it most stable) both videos play identically. I can check the attributes for each file and indeed one will show as 30 FPS and the other as 60 FPS as it should be, but again, playback between the two is identical.
For the 60 FPS video, I see I can drop the FPS down to 30 FPS or change the clip speed to 50%. Oddly, when I change the clip speed to 50%, it reflects that the video is 30 FPS and it is dropping the FPS down to 15. The clips look pretty darn close to me so I think the same result might be happening, but I don't know for sure. Is it?
Is there an optimal way I should be editing my slow motion video from my 60 FPS video to ensure I'm getting the best playback? Could the fact that this video optimized media be why it is reflecting the 60 FPS video as 30 FPS when attempting to change the clip speed?
