Resolve 17.1 Auto Backups

I just had an interesting thing happen.
I'll note at the outset, that this isn't a problem for me since I have a manual backup system in place.
I opened a simple project that I hadn't worked on for about 2 weeks and the the timeline was completely empty, apart from the adjustment layer I'd put over the whole timeline. All video clips gone. There were 3 tracks of manually synchronized cameras from a multi-cam shoot.
I've never had that happen before, but have seen reports of similar things on the forum in recent months.
No problem, I'll just load an auto backup.
I looked, and the only auto backup was one that had been created when I'd opened Resolve this morning. Nothing else.
Looking at the settings, I see that the auto backups are set to save every 10 minutes, with keep the last 3 hours and last 5 days.
So it looks like Resolve started, looked at the backups, saw they were all greater then 5 days ago and deleted them all.
IMO, Resolve should keep a number of backups no matter what if the auto backup system is being used.
I'm a programmer as my day job and one of my applications has a similar auto backup system. I always keep the last 3 backups, no matter what.
