17.2 [Bug] Render in Place (only on Mac)

I think that Render in Place in version 17.1 Studio does not work correctly anymore. The clip is rendered and saved correctly, but it is not used in the timeline and "Decompose to Original" is not available either.

Render in Place also does not work in Adjustment Clips. The option is available in Adjustment Clips, but the dialog box does not appear and the clip is not rendered.

I can't duplicate the first issue. RiP is working normally in Studio 17.1 for Windows.

It makes sense that you can't RiP an Adjustment Clip, as it's dependent for its render on everything beneath it. If you turn that section into a Compound Clip, it should work.

I just tested this on a second iMac (Catalania) and on Windows with the free version. On the second Mac I could duplicate the issue. On Windows it is as you wrote, everything is working normally. So that issue concerns only Mac users.

Maybe it would be better to remove the RiP option from Adjustemnt Clip altogether then, it's a bit irritating that way. It might not be such a bad idea to have the option available in an Adjustemnt clip as well, then you wouldn't be limited to the clip length and could render a freely selectable range that way.

Unfortunately, the problem was not fixed in version 17.1.1 either.
