TIFFs will only import as a single video clip

I am trying to import 10 8-bit TIFFs. I have tried using Kyno and the Finder and the result is the same: The clips are rolled into a single video clip. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Click the 3 dots at the top middle of the Media page and select Show Individual Frames.
