Closing Projects without Closing DR

This seems so basic yet not working.

I did not find this addressed anywhere in the DR Manual.

Say, I’m in a project and I either want to save it (as a modification of a project already created), don’t wish to save the changes or I’m just experimenting to learn how various Title Fonts, Transitions an Effects look in DR so I don’t wish to save the untitled project.

I clicked on File> New Project and I’m prompted with Save? Don’t Save? – if I choose either the current project remains on screen.

How do I open a new screen after I’ve had an untitled or Titled project open without having to close DR?

Ex. In MS Word if you wish to open a new screen to start a new document from scratch you just click Home > New Document and you can keep the document you just left as its placed on the lower taskbar while a blank document screen opens to create a new Word document.

That also allows you to click on that older document on the taskbar should you think later of a change you wish to modify that older document without closing it down.

Can you do the same with projects in DR?

Thank you!

To close an open project click on the Home icon bottom right to open the Project Manager. Right click on the highlighted project and select Close. To switch to another project double click on the one you want to open. If it wasn't previously saved, Resolve will ask you if you wish to save the currently open project. Make your selection and Resolve will open the newly selected project.
If you are creating a new project Resolve will ask you to name and save it. It will then remain open ready for use.
