Batch OpenFX processing workflow in Resolve?

Hi,

Here is my scenario:

I have 600 video clips in various lengths (no more than 1 minute long each) that need to have one specific OpenFX applied to them.

What is the best way to tackle this task knowing the following Resolve limitation:

You cannot export a timeline with multiple clips using Adjustment Clip. Resolve only allows single clip per adjustment clip in the Delivery tab. Another word I can't laydown 100 video clips side by side and apply one adjustment clip to all of them then export all 100 in one shot.

Obviously I don't want to sit there and manually process 600 clips one by one.

Any thoughts? suggestions?

thanks
jake

A timeline node will apply a look across all clips when exporting individually.

Add all the clips to a group on the Color page and apply the openfx as pre or post clip.

Not working as desired; when you render as individuals clips it overwrites all the files with the last file and you end up with one output file. Another word; Resolve is not numbering the clips in sequence, just takes the filename and applies/saves/overwrites itself.

For example; I have 2 clips on the timeline called test1.mov, test2.mov. I group them and add OpenFx in the Color tab, then go to render as "Individual clips" and enter filename as Test.mov. When I render, it renders test1.mov and outputs test.mov, then renders test2.mov and writes it to test.mov effectively overwriting the first clip it rendered. Instead of rendering and appending a number to test####.mov.

Got it resolved... needed to change the file name output settings to Source and it works!

This is going to be a huge timesaver!

thank you
