sync audio with silent footage ?

Hi, this is a real question !
Shot some video footage with my iphone and with on-board recording RODE wireless GO II. The latter 's TX's didn't send the audio to the RX (whereas silent video), but fortunately they have on board recording, so at least i have the audio.
Problem is how to easily sync those in Davinci resolve 17 studio. Sure enough, i could do this manually, but it's so tedious.
Any other way ? Trying to sync thru the timestamp option doesn't give any results.
Is there a third party app to apply timestamps on the video footage and the audio ?
What are my options here?

I think you’ll need to use the audio waveform and video cues to sync them by eye/ear. I can see in the not too distant future, a company like Pluraleyes coming up with an app that lip reads from the video and syncs the audio with it.

i was hoping there was another option than the manual syncing... Pluraleyes indeed can't sync silent footage.

Unfortunately, no magic... If you have no matching timecode and no maching audio there is no automatic way to resync video and audio. It is the reason why, even wth matching timecode, I make a hand clap in front of mike and camera, in the case of. As we say in french "ceinture et bretelles" (belt and braces).

Shouldn't Rode wireless go II have automatic timecode ? I just bought this new piece of mics so haven't really delved in it. Same question with iphone app i'm using to record (movie pro). Never really bothered checking that out.
Or maybe there's a way to apply unified timestamps to these ?

If your audio files do indeed have timecode, you should be able to manually sync one file with its video file then apply the same timecode offset to every file and sync by timecode.

This morning I had the same problem. The solution was quite simple: Set a marker at the beginning of the start of talking @ the video and do the same for the audio. Then align the two markers.

Actually, it's a bit more complicated than that, in the sense that the video recording (+its now mute audio) only starts when i hit the record button, but the on board recording of Rode starts when the devices are fired up.
Basically this means that I'm always recording some useless 'junk' voice audio before the actual video recording starts, always creating an offset.
Can i still solve this through markers ? If so, could someone point me to a tut ? Never really done syncing this way.

Sorry to come back again but, without proper COMMON timecode or sound, the only way to sync is something shared by sound and image, a real clap board or hands clapping is the best old solution!
There is no timecode "inside" device, there is timecode "between" devices...
