Can you blend audio embedded 1 mic left, 1 mic right

Hi. I've recorded 2 lav mics, one to each of 2 channels (L&R). Did not have mixer and camera cannot mix other than to headphones.

I wish to blend both left/right voices to center. Here was the plan... that didn't work.

Duplicate audio track. Select new track\Clip attributes\Swap source channels.

That way one clip has embedded channel 1 left, 2 right. The other has channel 2 right and 1 left.

It didn't work!

Is there something that would work?

You need to change your original audio track and the duplicated one to mono tracks instead of stereo (right click on the track header). Then you can change the clip attributes of each to mono and select which channel to use for each clip.

In the clip attributes you can edit the audio channel so that both channel come out as individual mono tracks. Note that this needs to be done before adding the clip to a timeline ...

You could also do with the track as stereo, and in the fairlight mixer click on the blu pan setting and the panner will open up, and you could use the spread control to make both channels come out the center. The way Gary suggested is the best approach though, so you can control them individually.
