Editing Text+ Keyframes on the Edit Page

DR 17.1.1 Windows 10
With any clip except Text+., I see two icons at the bottom right of the clip as soon as I add a keyframe to the clip. These icons allow me to edit keyframes.
However, these icons don't show up in a text+ clip.
I did see them briefly on one edit but can't get them to re-appear.
I confirm that there are keyframes by scrubbing and watchin the text move but there are no icons to allow editing..
Further, if I select the first keyframe in the inspector and then click on the > (next to orange diamond) I then move to the next keyframe as I should and the text moves but the inspector does not show an orange diamond.
Now, if I then click on the < to move to the previous keyframe, the diamond turns orange but the nothing else happens until I click a second time and then the keyframe moves and the text moves to the appropriate place.
I don't know if this is a bug or I'm missing something. Any suggestions?
