Hello,

I've tried looking for answers for this on this forum but zero answers.

I am experiencing very poor 6K Braw playback on Resolve. UHD and 1080P Braw playback works perfectly. But specifically on 6K Braw (12:1) I get frequent hangs. I have smooth playback and then after a few seconds everything freezes and I have to wait. And then smooth... and then freeze again. the cycle repeats again and again.

Tried enabling and disabling GPU decoding for braw. Doesn't help.

Freezes seem to be triggered especially when I set IN and OUT points in the source monitor, or when I trim clips.

Do you know how I could solve it ? I never have issues with any files, but specifically those 6K braw files mess everything up.

- Project Settings (1080p / 25fps)
- Camera files 6K Braw pocket 6K Pro files / 25fps / 12:1
- i7 7820x / 32Gb RAM / RTX2080Ti
- nVidia driver 461.92 (latest)
- Resolve 17.1.1 Build9

Sounds like your system just can't keep up.

Which kind of media are those files stored on?

You're definitely hitting some kind of limit. The video seems to be buffered, but then not delivered fast enough.
Check your CPU and GPU activity and the speed of the storage. Normally, it's good to have both GPU and CPU decoding BRAW, it's very well balanced (at least on the Mac).

Media is stored on a NAS that has a 10G link (around 400 Mbytes/s)

And what if you test a file straight from an internal disk? Then you may know the bottleneck.
When networking, it's not only throughput, but response times too!
