Speed Change is locked - can't speed up/down videos

So, I have been trying to change the speed of some videos but the option is locked for me. It looks like this:



I still can change the speed in the field but it changes back to 100% as soon the field loses focus. Is this a bug or a limitation of the free version? I am using Resolve 17.1.1.

What type of clip r u selecting?

Just random stock videos. I tried www(dot)pexels(dot)com/video/a-duck-floating-and-drinking-on-water-7168718/ and pixabay(dot)com/de/videos/berge-b%C3%A4ume-wald-polen-winter-61818/

I also tried a recording from my mobile and downloaded a youtube clip. None did work. Info on the first stock video is:

i dont think the clip type is the issue...
can u try UI reset in workplace menu?
are you using a mouse or pen to change the value?
which OS?
can u take a phone video of the issue and post?

Found the culprit! I had locked the track - so naturally I couldn't edit it. Odd, that I could still change the values with a mouse - both the speed and stabilization attributes. While the first snaps back to its locked values after selecting something else the second keeps the changed values despite being locked. IIRC only grading is/should be available for locked tracks. So something is going on. ^^

I'm using Mac 10.14.6 Mojave on Middle of 2015 MacBook Pro.

Semi-related: Good to know about the UI reset - I had a little mess in my UI and was happy to find that.
