Resolve 17 Crashes on Mac

Hello
I am running DaVinci Resolve 17.1.1 on a iMac 5K, i9 processor, 40 GB RAM, Radeon Pro Graphics 8GB, running Big Sure 11.2.3.
App downloaded from App Store.
DaVinci keeps crashing, happened randomly, happened when I looked at titles a few times.
Once it crashes I can't reopen it. It loads to an error window and then is not usable after.
I have to delete it, download it and hope it works. any ideas?

You may need to repair your permissions with Apple's "First Aid" or a better tool like Disk Warrior.

Didn’t work. No errors found
If I unplug my external drive, I can start Davinci. Once restarted, I can reconnect database. The problem resumes at next start up.
Any other ideas?

We recommend you put the database on the system drive.

What is the recommended way to move database to system drive? Just take a backup copy and place it on system drive?
I have an IMAC 27" with an I7 Processor, (remainder of specs below) and i too am having a series of crashes when trying to export a 60 minute video. Footage is 4K30P from Sony A7R II, and Osmo 2. My Activities monitor tells me my CPU is only running at 57-58% during the export and frequently the frame rate is down to 1 or .5 fps,though sometimes it will go up to 30fps. I slowed the render to 75% instead of "Maximum".
I've rarely had any crashes on export, until now and I've ben using DR 17 since the first beta was released.
Also I generally copy my database at the end of the day, just in case there's a problem.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated....Thx...Jim
