Media Offline right from the start

Hope all is fine!
I just started to use Da Vinci again, but actually can't, because as soon as I try to import media, this media is displayed as "offline", even before importing to the media pool.
-in the media pool, i can't just relink it
-yes, i updated to 17, then deinstalled and downloaded 16 again.
-i created a new database, but problem appears unchanged
