PowerWindows stuck

PostFri Apr 09, 2021 4:21 am

Running Resolve 17.1.1

In some behaviours the PowerWindows get stuck - as in: can't move them around.

Can be confusing to explain so here we go:

Let's say I want to tweak around a bit with the curves in clip A. After a while I move over to clip B. There lays a PowerWindow on a currently selected node. The Onscreen Control Menu is set to display the window. When I then want to move around the PowerWindow it is stuck. I then have to move over to a different tool - i.e. back to curves - and then back to the PowerWindow tools. In other cases I switch to the tracker tool - other tool so 'unlocks' stuck window - while still be able to move around window since Onscreen Controls remains set on PowerWindows (saving one click).

Curious. I had my own weirdness with Power Windows.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

It's been there since I know of as b7 was the only beta I used. Odd that it seems no one else reported this bug.
