sound levels question

Hi

The sound levels on the edit page vary enormously. An audio clip in the preview window is played back at a much higher level than when in the timeline - obviously without any adjustment to the audio track level.

Why is this and is there a way of setting the sound level of the preview pane?

Try to open the timeline witch contains an audio at the left Preview window. Now the same audio is at both preview windows. Are both audio levels the same?

Um, interesting.
I don't have a problem with that in DVR 16.

If I haven't altered any levels the Source view and the Timeline view play back at the same volume on my system.

You're right. I did a test with audio timeline and the left and right preview windows have different playback volumes. In addition, the left preview only plays in monophonic. This only applies to timeline playback in the left window. If I play clips in the left window, the level is the same.
