Hi there,
I apologise if this is the incorrect place to post this or if someone has already raised this (I searched, I couldn't find anything similar). I installed Davinci last week and have been loving it. Using it on a few small projects and everything is brilliant. Love using it, even with my limited editing knowledge, I've already managed to merge and colour grade clips. So intuitive and so powerful! I have one slight issue.
For info, on a late 2018 MacBook Pro, 2.3GHz i5 edition
I've found when I export my videos, the clip plays back lightening fast (like the whole clip in 1 frame). I've also found when I go onto Vimeo or YouTube, the same thing is happening. So something with the Davinci install is affecting all video on my laptop. If I restart the laptop, everything plays back fine. But once I open Davinci, video just won't play at the correct speed (it's as if the x20 speed playback is constantly active. It seems to be something to do with the Davinci task bar helper.
Edit: I've done a bit of testing and if I reopen Davinci and playback an external file (either through Quicktime locally, or on YouTube) it works fine. But once I do a render, I can't get any video on my machine to play at the correct speed, until Davinci has been completely shut down. So it seems to be affected by the render.
Now that I know how to work with the issue, maybe it's not such a big deal, but just wondering if anyone has seen this or can offer a solution. I don't mind it so much but having to shut a project to test a render and then reopen to re-render is gonna get boring after a while.
Thanks so much.
