Cut Page Markers "Magically" Disappear. #Useless -

PostSun Apr 11, 2021 5:35 am

I am trying to get into DR as my NLE and one stop shop for all my post-production needs.

The more I dive in, the more bugs I keep finding on basic functions that are a DRAG on productivity. I'm hoping ADMIN pays close attention to ensuring basic functionality.

Right now, DR is having problems with markers in the CUT PAGE. If I go through and mark the footage, the resulting markers are NOWHERE to be found. This means the use of the CUT PAGE is essentially zero. It means the use of the SPEED EDITOR which is geared toward the CUT PAGE is hurtling toward zero as well.

As I've searched the boards, this issue has happened before apparently.

Of all the fancy tricks of an NLE - it's the basic routine functions that an editor needs to be able to rely on. The features being advertised are so appealing but if I can never use them reliably - the trouble of changing workflows is not worth it.

My complaint is made with the HOPE for CHANGE. The promise of DR is significant.

On a technical level, I only had 6 video clips in my project and only one timeline. So there was zero load on the system resources. I was literally just following along with tutorials on new features and trying them with test footage and kept running into bugs and strange limitations. (I'll leave my issues with the subclip behavior that restricts your ability to QUICKLY and EASILY expand them once in the timeline for another post)
