One only audio track in multicam - should be 4

PostWed Apr 14, 2021 10:27 pm

I recently wasted a day trying to figure this out, and even waited on hold with BMD only to receive the typical and expected "Sorry, we can't help you" response.

I figured it out. when I created a multicam clip all my audio was being summed to one track.

Only when I created a normal timeline (not multicam) did I see all the tracks individually.

Not sure if this is a bug, or simply normal functionality. but it's worth writing here to save someone else a wasted day.

That's just how it works.

I usually recommend muting the Multicam audio track and adding usable audio under the Multicam. Makes it easier to mix later on in Fairlight.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
