EXRs imported from XML are 1 frame short (r17 bug?)

PostFri Apr 16, 2021 7:40 pm

I recently upgraded from Resolve 16 to 17 and am running into a new issue where imported clips are coming in a frame short.

I'm grading an animated series and my workflow is to import an XML timeline (from a Premiere edit) that loads EXR sequences for the shots. When I import, every shot is a frame short in the media pool but in the media storage all frames are there. In the edit timeline, the 2nd to last frame is held to fill the last frame's slot so the esit and clip lengths are correct, just that each clip has a freeze frame at the tail.

When I reverted back to Resolve 16 and ran the same import process everything comes in without issue. In Resolve 17 all EXRs are short a frame in the media pool. However, when do the import in 16, export that timeline as a new XML, and import the new XML in 17 it loads everything fine.

I'm wondering if others are having this issue as well (known bug?).
