Advanced Trimming

Trick question for Resolve cracks.

Take a look at the image attached. I want to extend all the clips you see frame by frame until they match the gap. The cuts are all selected. Problem is that when I do that, the whole track moves ahead frame by frame. In AVID I would just add another cut in the filler, select it into the other direction and trim it using bidirectional trimming. How do I do this in Davinci without creating another empty video track and moving these clips there to perform the trim?

Problem is also, even with all the cuts selected, it's only the first clip that would get a trim. At least when extending the edits. Multiple selection actually works when shrinking the clips, but they would also always leave a gap, no matter what mode I am in.
