Color Page Focus

In Resolve Studio 17.0 When I select a clip in the edit page and go to the color page the highlighted clip is always an adjustment layer, not the selected clip from the edit page.

Is there a preference setting which determines forcing focus somewhere other than the selected item?

I don't recall this behavior in the earlier version. (I'm new to DRS, so I'm still learning it's quirks)

Thank you.
Joseph Freeman

PS. On my system DRS 17.0 is more stable than 17.1 or 17.1.1.

Clip selection has no effect when switching pages. The playhead remains on the same frame across timelines. You're simply seeing the top most clip at that position.

I would expect the selected clip from the edit page to be the selected clip on the color page.

That would be nice... :) Also, when in the color page with stacked items such as a vid and an adj layer and you want to move to one of the layers say from adj to the vid file it stays in the same spot. now it shoots to the beginning. :)

That would break the core functionality here, where the playhead remains on the same frame across pages.

It would be a step down, not an improvement.

That is exactly the point of the original post,
"In Resolve Studio 17.0 When I select a clip in the edit page and go to the color page the highlighted clip is always an adjustment layer, not the selected clip from the edit page."

The issue has been resolved. I physically deleted my cache "CacheClip" folder (500+ GB) and the majority of my DRS issues were resolved, especially slow playback.

The selected clip remains selected between the edit and color page.
