360° Video "flat" only after editing

Hi, I have a problem rendering 360° video content after editing with Karta VR and Reframe360. Both effects cause the same error. When I load a 360° file in Davinci Studio (17) and render without editing using one of the two tools, the result is a 360° video as I want it. - Perfect

But as soon as I load for example the Karta VR effect and change FOV, Pitch or whatever and render the video, I don't get a 360° video anymore but only see the viewport as a 2D video. Also injection of MetaData has no success because simply the rest of the video is not rendered.

Has anyone had a similar experience and has a solution? I have seen numerous Youtube tutorials but no one here seems to have the problem.

Many thanks for your help in advance!

Hi MatiKeu.

If you want to output a 360-degree video, then you'd be limited to operations like levelling the horizon using PanoMap for XYZ rotation, or creating panoramic titles and overlays that are all created and rendered as spherical content.

Reframing a video would be called in the AE world "Sphere to Plane" which by that indication means it's not going to be a 360 degree on the output if you do that....

If you want to you, could do picture-in-picture like overlays to place flat image elements into the 360 video's spherical image projection.

If you can describe in more detail what your creative goals are, or share a screenshot I could try to assist further. Also, for KartaVR usage there is a public "KartaVR User Group" on Facebook if you need specific help on workflows or other aspects. :)
