Hi,

is there a possibility for interviews to automatically adjust the volume of the two audio tracks? Unfortunately, when speaker A speaks, track B should automatically become quieter - when speaker B speaks, track A should automatically become quieter.

Can someone please help?

Fairlight has this functionality.

Have you completed any of the training manuals, yet?

I'd use the expander in the channel dynamics for this instead. If you use sidechains and they both speak at the same time, they are both going to be turned down which is not want you want. You just want each mic level reduced when nobody is speaking into it.
Try a range of around 20 and a ratio around 1:2.0. This will give you around 20dB of level drop when there is no talking on each mic.
Leave everything else where it defaults to, then play around with the threshold to get it triggering the way you want and the attack and release will allow you to change how fast it fades up and down.

There's a plugin by Dan Dugan called the Automixer that does this as well, Waves sell it but you can get what you want with expanders on the channels for free..
