Tool for audio editing like Range Tool in FCPX?

PostTue Apr 20, 2021 9:32 am

Hi,

it would be wonderful if DR had a tool like the Range Tool in FCPX. Does anyone know if there is such a thing? It creates four keyframes in the audio track by which that portion of the clip may be adjusted.

If not, a bite to the developers at DR: Can such a tool be added please?

The Clip Gain key framing does not currently provide an equivalent to the Range Tool in Final Cut Pro.

Generally, it is much more efficient and significantly faster defining a Range and using the Automation system's "Fill Range" command to write the current value across the Range.

With "Automation Follows Edit" enabled via Resolve's Toolbar or via the Fairlight menu, the automation data remains associated with the Audio Clips on the Timeline.

There is a separate forum for Feature Requests.

viewforum.php?f=33

Best practice is to search first, to see if someone already asked. If not, post one idea per thread with a very brief description of the idea in the thread's title.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Yes, Jim, you're right of course.
I think I posted a correct thread's title. Didn't I?

And please don't be so strict. Most of the time I look for the topic in the forum, but sometimes I want help quickly. You have already helped me many times, for which I am grateful. Also keep in mind that not everyone here in the forum can write and understand English perfectly. For example, I am German, my English is not very good. It's easy for people like you who can communicate in their native language. It is also much easier for you to understand the manual. Please consider this, thank you.

I'm a little baffled by your comment. My post was just...information. There's no criticism there.
