Move and resize a picture-in-picture

PostWed Apr 21, 2021 6:57 am

Hi all,

I am new to using Davinci Resolve 17 and starting to get the hang of it in basic terms.

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to accomplish the following.

I have a video (V1) in full screen that is a shot of a person talking.
Have an image in V2 and would like to transform/animate the V1 video into the left-hand corner so that the image in V2 becomes the "main" visual.

Is this possible to accomplish in DR17?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Yes.

Keyframed Transform parameters will do this.

If you don't know what that means, BMD has been kind enough to provide us with some really great training resources. I recommend the Beginner's Guide and Advanced Editing at the very least.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
