Cannot import IMX50 mxf

PostWed Apr 21, 2021 8:25 am

Hello!
I'm using Resolve 17.1.1 on osx Catalina. I tried to import IMX50 mxf but Resolve not recognize the mxfs. In 16.2.7 I was able to import these kind of files. I checked with Avid Media Composer and imported without any issue so the mxfs are valid. Now I stucked with this and I have to work with these files. Anyone have any idea about this?

Can you share a clip for testing?

I am using the Studio version. These clips are full episodes from a TV show and I am not sure it's legal to share with you, I am afraid of the copyright issues. I found a temporary solution to rewrap the mxfs to mov and that is okay for resolve. The weird thing is that, I used a previous season with the same codecs of mxfs and they are fine, the next season is not. I compared two mxf with mediainfo, and found one difference the two files in audio format.
The "good" mxf audio in MediaInfo is:
Format : PCM
Format settings, wrapping mode : Frame (D-10)
the "bad":
Format : PCM
Format settings : Little
Format settings, wrapping mode : Frame (BWF)

So it should be something with the mxf, but I don't know what it is and why Avid accepts and Resolve not.
Thank you for your answers.
