HDR10+ Trim Controls Not Working

Hi, I've got a project set up for grading in HDR. I've set up my timeline colorspace and gamma as suggested in the reference manual, and I've enabled HDR10+ in the project settings. I used the Color > HDR10+ > Analyze submenu to analyze my clips and the HDR10+ controls reflect different values for different clips. I can enable/disable tone mapping preview and see the change on my monitor. Yet all the anchor point sliders are greyed out and I cannot edit their values. Anything else I need to do?

Setup:
  • M1 Mac Mini, macOS 11.2.3
  • Davinci Resolve Studio 17.1.1 build 9 (Apple Silicon Native)
  • sRGB monitor connected over Mac's HDMI & HDR OLED monitor connected via UltraStudio 4K Mini's HDMI port (of course with HDR metadata enabled)
  • Color Managed project, DaVinci WG/Intermediate with a working luminance of 1000 nits, output to Rec.2020 ST2084 1000 nits (limited gamut to P3 D64)
  • Dolby Vision disabled, HDR10+ enabled (I've also tried enabling/disabling Dolby Vision but that doesn't seem to help with HDR10+)

I emailed BMD support directly and received this response:

HDR10+ trim controls were disabled per the request of the interested parties in the standard and technology development.
The automatic analysis is the only option, though it has been deemed useful to have visual feedback over what the automatic analysis is doing for particular brightness ranges.

As the manual clearly states: it looks like HDR10+ is still being iterated on.

Nice to know. There's probably not a user out there who could have given that answer.
