Exporting while editing

PostThu Apr 22, 2021 5:27 pm

Is there a way to Export a sequence or multiple sequences while still editing?
Like The Adobe Media Encoder solution?

I must admit that the lack of this feature is a deal-breaker for me as my workflow consists of using this feature a lot.

Even though premiere exports slower, in the long run, it gives me better results as I can continue editing while exporting.

Am I missing something?

and is there a "feature request" page that I can ask for this feature? I'm sure a lot of people need this basic feature as well.

Exporting while editing

You can set up a headless Resolve instance and submit a job to it for remote rendering. Technically, I don’t think two computers are necessary, but I’d use at least two. Search the manual for “headless.”

If you’re using two, then you don’t have to make either one headless, but I’m pretty sure using headless is the only way to get two copies of resolve running on the same machine.

There’s a good chance I’m wrong, though. It’s been a while since I’ve done it.

I have one machine.
looks a bit tedious for a simple recurring task maybe I'll put this post in the feature suggestions board.
Thanks for your reply.
