Live save causes performance issues with certain files

No idea why, but if I record with OBS in a .mkv file and convert it in VLC to an MP4 file it works fine in Resolve
If I record in OBS straight to a .mov file then it doesn't play well in Resolve unless I turn off the auto save feature?

I always recommend hardware recorders for screen capture you intend to edit. They typically offer editing friendly options like DNx and ProRes, whereas software normally doesn't.
