Create New Default Transition - Solved

Within the Effects panel you can select any standard transition as "default".

However, I'm trying to figure out how to modify a standard into MY default. Specifically, in "Cross Dissolve" there are several types, the standard being "video".

I want to use the "film" cross dissolve as my standard, and make it default.

Is this possible? If so, how?

Don't reply with guesses; I've got tons of those myself.

Add the transition you want to your timeline. Make any changes you want to it for your default standard transition. Right click it in the timeline and choose Create Transition Preset. Then in the Video Transitions list scroll down until you see User. Then right-click the Transition you just added and choose Set As Standard Transition.
