I am trying to make lower thirds that are anchored on the left - so they do not move when I add or remove characters. However, when I set the anchor point to the left side, I have to use the position sliders to move the title back to the left hand side of the screen. This would be fine, except that when I do so, I find that the right hand side of my text gets cut off if it runs over approximately 15 characters.

This is infuriating and I don't understand it! Please help!

I think what you're looking for is Left Justification, not the Anchor.
