Mac App Store Version 17.1.1 won't launch.

2020 iMac, 40 GB RAM, Radeon Pro 5300 4 GB, 3.6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9. Catalina 10.15.7
I have purged all old docs and preferences, and reinstalled. When I launch the app, the splash screen appears and makes it as far as "Loading Cut Page" and then just disappears. No error message.

I have installed the free version from the BMD website, and launches no problem.

Any ideas?

Do you have any USB-devices (other than storage) connected? Like e.g. audio or HDMI adapters? Pull them and try again.
Or simply forget the App Store version, it's quite limited anyway.

Haven't found a solution yet. I have an old laptop that runs it and I haven't needed Resolve much lately, so I'm just working around it. Mostly working in After Effects lately, but when I use Resolve, it is almost exclusively for features that aren't available in the free version. So this is maybe not a huge deal to me, it is still really annoying.
