I am trying to use the camera shake effect on a section of a music video that also has the lyrics on screen. The camera shake effect works perfectly fine until I add the text, at which point the whole video goes black with just the text showing.
This is a recent issue as I had no problems with this before updating to version 17.

So you have a clip on V1, add the effect to that clip, then add text to V2?

Whenever there is text, the screen goes black except for the text. And in those spaces between the text it plays the video with the effect just fine.

You mean the .drp project file?
When I try and attach it to a post it says "The extension drp is not allowed"

I can't duplicate that here using Studio 17.1.1 for Windows. It works just fine for me.

I've just upgraded to Studio 17 and every clip with camera shake shows as black screen, when i turn off the effect tit shows as normal - does anybody have a fix for this?

Same problem here. Just migrated from v16 to v17 and have Camera Shake effects on adjustment layers which just render black unless I disable them. Anyone know of a workaround? Nb. I'm using macOS 11.4

EDIT: I think I see why they are not working; the Open FX on my Adjustment Clip has 'Use Alpha (Legacy)' at the bottom of the panel (underneath Global Blend). Using a freshly dropped-on Camera Shake effect shows 'Use Alpha'. Guessing there were fundamental changes in 17 meaning this effect (likely others too) from older 16 projects won't work as is.
