Resolve 17.1.1 crashes on load with VPN

PostSat May 01, 2021 5:18 am

I don't think I had this happen with 17.1 Studio, but maybe I wasn't paying attention or didn't have a VPN running at the time. But Resolve 17.1.1 Studio on Windows 10 crashes for me consecutively on loading of the application if my Mozilla VPN (Mullvad / Wireguard) is running. If I disable the VPN connection, load Resolve, then reenable the VPN, it runs fine so far.

So I assume it's trying to call home on load? Why? I have a Resolve Studio fab key in the USB port.

I think resolve enumerates network interfaces for some strange reason on start. I've never had these issues, but people frequently report issues with Hyper-V switches and other virtual interfaces.

Im also using Hyper-V and Wireguard at the same time and Resolve is fine. But I always disable all the Panel stuff in the installer.

I use the same VPN. Doesn't interfere with anything for me, using either the dongle or activation code.
