Nodes going way off on node graph

PostTue May 04, 2021 5:18 pm

Hello,

I am having this issue with resolve 16 where I have a project where the node tree is fine, and then all of a sudden it goes way off screen where u need to scroll to get to the nodes. This happens to all other clips and I cannot for the life of me find out how to refresh or get the nodes to stay and instantiate close to the the center of the node graph.

Clean up node graph does not work. And also setting the nodes in the center where I want them and then copying the grade or fixed node position to other clips also does not work.

Does any one have an experience with this and how to fix?

Are you Zooming the scale maybe?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

No I'm not. It is at minimal scale one step over. As per usual

OK.

Is your monitor high enough resolution to do the work comformtably?

I would think it is. It's a 27inch dell monitor, and everything fits comfortably on the screen. I will post an image soon, if the issue did not magically disappear.

Here are some examples of the issue at the following link:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= ... 8wS-Qh1B-O

In example 1 it a clean node tree, where the first node is to the upper left. It is not too much here but there are times where it is instantiated out of bounds.

In example 2, I simply copied a grade from another clip which had the nodes set correctly at the center of the grid easily accessible.

As you can see the nodes are way out of bounds to the bottom left. This happens on all clips. And sometimes the nodes might be correctly placed and then I reopen the project another time or I do something else and they are out of bounds like this.

That is a weird one. I've never seen any thing like it.

I've had this happen. Generally quitting Resolve and then launching it again fixes the problem.

Thanks Jim for you time and effort. Yes it is very weird.

I have tried shutting down davinci and restarting yet the issue persists.

I'm hoping that this is something to do with some set of function for example cmd + ?. But it might not be.
