DaVinci needs accurate color management for Fusion titles

PostWed May 05, 2021 1:12 am

Basically any of the titles from the fusion titles section will not show up correctly in a DaVinci YRGB Color Managed timeline. I am Set to DaVinci Wide Gamut, with an output of Rec.709 Gamma 2.2. Colors are very off and I have tried numerous things to fix this, like a color space transform node. Adding a working right click>bypass color management would fix this, if you click that now nothing happens.

All non fusion based text will have the correct color.

Example image notice the background is set to white.

In this example you can see how inaccurate the red is versus what was selected.

Fusion works in Linear color, not your timeline space. Take a look.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I am aware of that. But so should the software on the edit page when you drag in a premade fusion title template. It should just work. Going into the color page and trying a color space transform or a lut linear to 2.4 doesn't produce proper results.
