Color Shift on IMF Export

PostWed May 05, 2021 12:39 pm

Hey. I'm Playing around with IMF generation on Resolve. My setup:

    New project (DaVinci YRGB, P3 D65, ST2084 1000nit)
    16b EXR sequence P3D65 PQ 1000nit
    Dolby Vision MetaData XML

Timeline is fine, SDR conversion is fine. When I export an IMF (Netflix Preset) and reimport the IMF (or MXF file) and comare it to my original file sequqnce, there is a shift regarding the R and B channel (the IMF is more green).

I have no idea why. Tested with v16 and v17. After exporting to Rec.2020 HLG file from the IMF, the problem is visually even more obvious compared the original EXR sequence.

I tried another standalone IMF encoder/packager, this file was ok.

We solved it via invert LUT now. But maybe this should be a task on the bug fix list
