How to gradually show a section of an image?

PostSun May 09, 2021 2:22 pm

Hello,

I need help figuring out this problem.

I have a solid color background image
My second image is just a simple 3 line PNG

I would like to reveal gradually just one center line of text .
Here is an example of What I would like to achieve.

I know how to do it by inserting a seperate text line and then use crop function with keystones but I would like to use images from photobanks so I don't have to create it from scratch.

Thank you for your help.

Ask yourself how to create the starting frame of your animation. (Bg with the top and bottom line of text.)

You could make a png without the middle line, or you could take the existing png, and play with crops, or masks or what ever method you want to hide the middle text line. Personally, i would make a new png... and place it on layer 2 of my timeline. (assuming you don't want to do this in Fusion)

Either way, i would then take the original png, place it on a third layer, and wipe to it. Because the top and botttom lines do not change from layer 2 to layer 3, it will simply look like the middle layer is wiping on.

You could also create your second PNG to only show the middle layer, the result should look the same.
